Okay, okay - I'm inspired one moment and then indecisive the next. What can I say? Let's face it, as a woman, I have the right to change my mind.
So....I was getting all excited about doing a bunch of long, big races next year. Hmmm...is that really a good idea? Perhaps not.
I'm thinking that my knees and I will get along much better if I limit myself to the sprint distance next year. At the sprint distance, I can do the whole race - run and all. If I go any longer, I'll have to switch to the Aquabike category. There's nothing wrong with Aquabiking, but...you know me..if I can run, I will.
And - three (or so) sprint races probably cost about the same as one half ironman race.
Don't worry - I'm sure I'll change my mind again. Soon.

I was hoping to follow in your footsteps with your earlier plans! My knees are aching and unfortunately it is the one I didn't get done that bothers me most. But they hurt more from all the driving I've been doing. If you change your mind about races, let me know.

Silly SQ!! Don't you leave me with all those mean boys for MoM!!! ;) Actually, this is probably a smart decision so that you're super-healthy and ready for 2011! I will cheer you on in all your Sprints . . . or hang with you in the 1/2's if you change your mind again. :)

Hi ladies :)
Frances - I think we have to baby our knees. :(
C - I don't think MoM is going to work at all now. It's on Memorial Day weekend - and we'll most likely be away. :( But...there are always other fun adventures, too!
Hey, it is still early - and there are plenty of local races that you can sign up for later (B2B has a half)! In the meantime, let us know what shorter races you are thinking about.
I'm proud to read this entry. I want us to all meet together in 20 years to do events...doing too many that are too long when you have bad knees is a recipe to do nothing in 20 years. Just my ignorant opinion. Loved seeing you, Susie. Miss you and can't wait to see you again!!! Give Rick a hug from me. Love, A.
Smooches to you, Manda!
