Team in Training

There are so many worthy causes out there, so why do I choose to help Team in Training?

Reason 1: Funds raised by Team in Training directly benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). LLS is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services.

Reason 2: Close to 80% of the funds raised by me go towards blood cancer research. That's nothin' to sneeze at!

Reason 3: Since 1954, the LLS has awarded over $550 million to cancer research, pioneering many life saving ways to treating and finding a cure for cancer. Our very own University of Virginia received a $6 million research grant.

Reason 4: Leukemia is the leading disease killer for children under the age of 20. That just makes me mad.

Reason 5: And finally......Because I can.

I am blessed to be able to swim, bike and run as I do. I want to give back.

Because I can. And I will.
